Commenting on Quote Requests
When a quote is received, users can comment on the quote. These comments are then sent as a notification to the technician and the technician can view the comment and respond by adding a comment. In addition, if you have Customer Portal, your customers will also see comments on any quotes they request.
TIP: Sign up to receive the notification: a quote is commented on. This can be done by going to My Profile within HQ and selecting Notification Settings. Then you will receive notifications on comments made on a quote. Click here to learn more about notifications.
IMPORTANT: Comment notifications to HQ users are sent only when a technician adds a comment in the Service app. If an HQ user adds a comment, it will not notify other HQ users who are subscribed to the "QUOTE was commented on" notification. Only the technician who submitted the quote will receive the comment notification within the app.
For HQ users:
Go to the specific Quote Request details page> on the right side select “Add Comment”> type your comment> Save
For Technicians:
When a comment is added, a notification will then be sent to the technician's tablet. The technician can choose to [Ignore] or [View] the comment.
Once the technician selects [View] it will take them to the Notifications screen within their WIP. Once there, click on [Comment on Quote] to view:
The Service app will then display the details of the Quote Request, including all comments. Here the technician can reply to any comments and add more comments by pressing the + button within the Comments card:
