Adding Technician Accounts

For Quickbooks Online clients, technicians are added a little differently.  First, the client must add two accounts for each tech in their Quickbooks. They will create LABOR-FIRST LAST and TRAVEL-FIRST LAST. To add these accounts, follow the below steps:

  1. In the client’s QB, click the [Gear] icon.

  2. Click [Service].

  3. In the Name field, type LABOR-DYLAN CONNELLY (replace Dylan Connelly with respective tech name). In the Sales price/rate field, enter the technician’s hourly rate for service. IMPORTANT: Must be uppercase and no space between the LABOR and DASH and FIRST NAME.

  4. Repeat step 3 to add the TRAVEL-DYALAN CONNELLY (replace Dylan Connelly with respective tech name).

  5. Repeat Steps 3-4 until all technicians have been added.

HQ Accounts

Now that the accounts have been added in Quickbooks, you can add them in HQ.  For QuickBooks Online, when adding the account in HQ the Dispatch Reference field must be in UPPERCASE.
