Time Card Overview
Empower HQ users with the capability to create, modify, or remove work order segments while in the process of editing a time card.
This revolutionizes the approach to modifying, creating, and deleting time entries on dailytime cards. Simultaneously, it provides the convenience of making corresponding adjustments directly to the associated work order. This eliminates the need for a sequential approach, where time card adjustments were carried out before manually aligning the work order's time entries.
Timecard entries can be added, edited, or deleted by HQ users. To add an entry click on the 3 dots in the top right and select "Add time card entry". Then select the status of the work order, once the status is selected the start/end time can be selected (this can be typed in, but must follow format). Proceed to select work order or clock out reason in Notes and click “Save”. The entry will be added/modified.
Edit or Transfer Time Card Entry
For modifying or transferring a time card entry, access the three dots located on the right side of the screen, aligned with the corresponding time card entry row. From the menu that appears, opt for 'Edit.' Here, you can choose the relevant status (if applicable) and update Start/End Times if necessary. The associated work order is preselected by default. For the transfer of labor or travel time to a different work order, designate the respective work order number. This selection enables you to simultaneously create or delete work order labor/travel time from the initial work order to the newly designated one.
If a time card entry for a work order is edited, the user will have the option to change the labor/travel time on the work order simultaneously. NOTE: By default, this Work Order list includes PM, Service and Internal Work orders that have been modified, created, or signed/marked complete within the last month.
Delete Time Card Entry
To remove a time card entry, navigate to the three dots situated on the right side of the screen, aligned with the pertinent time card entry row. From the ensuing menu, select 'Delete.' At this point, you have the option to eliminate the Labor/Travel entry from the associated work order, which is preselected by default. To proceed, click [Delete]. NOTE: To only remove the entry from the the time card and not the workorder, click the 'x' to remove the corresponding Labor/Travel time entry.
If a time card entry for a work order is deleted, the user will have the option to delete the labor/travel time on the work order simultaneously.
