Link a Tinnacity generated Work Order number with your business system/Link Quote and/or Work Order Requests to a Work Order Number

If a work order is created via HQ or the Service app, those Tinnacity generated work order numbers can be linked with your business system.

    • For example: a technician has the ability to create work orders in field, once created the Service app will generate a Tinnacity work order number starting with TM (Tinnacity Mobile). If an HQ user creates a work order via HQ, once created, HQ will generate a Tinnacity work order number starting with TMW (Tinnacity Mobile Web).
    • These work orders can then be linked within your business system

To link a Tinnacity Generated Work Order to your business system:

  1. In your business system, create a new work order
  2. Depending on the business system, add the Tinnacity generated work order number in the appropriate field:
    • For EquipSoft use the 'Your Reference' field. For newer versions, this may be called "Source Doc No".
      • NOTE: For EquipSoft BC, once the Tinnacity work order is created, the agent will automatically create & link the work order in your business system and reflect the Equipsoft BC work order number in HQ
    • For Dysel use the 'Your Reference' field.
    • For Softbase, use the 'Writer' field.
    • For eBS, use the 'pmanref' database column (sometimes this is renamed 'Tinnacity Reference').

To link a Tinnacity Quote or Work Order Request, the reference field (currently used to sync TM work order numbers) must be set using a prefix and request number.

For work order request, the prefix is "TWR" i.e. "TWR123". This will attempt to link the work order to work order request "123". The prefix for a quote is"TQ" i.e. "TQ456".

        • For EquipSoft use the 'Your Reference' field. For newer versions, this may be called "Source Doc No".
        • For Dysel use the 'Your Reference' field.
        • For Softbase, use the 'Writer' field.
