How to switch between HQ Live and HQ Sandbox

Tinnacity provides each client with an HQ 'Sandbox', allowing you to explore, learn, and conduct new hire onboarding without affecting your live data. The sandbox can be used for both back-office and technician onboarding. Before accessing the sandbox, a person must first be granted the necessary permissions.

Grant access to the Sandbox

To grant a person access to the sandbox, follow the below steps:


  1. In HQ, go to Admin/Users. Locate and select the relevant user.


  2. In the 'Company' card, click the '+' sign, from the dropdown select the relevant SANDBOX instance, and then click [Save].

Once permission has been granted to access the SANDBOX, the back-office person accesses by following the below steps:


  1. In HQ, click on your name at the top, right corner and then click 'Change Company'.


  2. From the Company dropdown, select the SANDBOX instance, and then click [Save].

    NOTE: The yellow bar at the top is a visual indicator that you are logged into the SANDBOX.


Access SANDBOX in Tinnacity's Service App

To access the SANDBOX via Tinnacity's Service app, follow the below steps:

  1. Before a technician can log into the Service app using the SANDBOX, you must identify the relevant account number to use. In HQ, while logged into the SANDBOX click on your name at the top, right corner then select 'My Profile'.


  2. From the 'My Profile' section, locate the 'Account Number'.


  3. Now that you know the relevant account number to use, on the tablet or your phone, open Tinnacity's Service app. In the Account Number field, enter the relevant account number. Then enter the Username and Password to log in as.
