How to create a Shipping Ticket in HQ
Once you have created your Driver HQ profile or your 3rd Party Driver HQ profile & created your Shipping Templates, you are ready to create Shipment Tickets to dispatch to your driver(s). Follow the steps below:
- Within HQ>Shipping>Shipping Dock screen: click on the Create button in the top right of the screen
- Details card: select your Template & Bill To from the dropdown menus, these are required fields. You can also add additional information like Contract #, PO Number & Notes. NOTE: The Scheduled Date and Priority can be set at this point or set later after the Shipment ticket has been created. If left unscheduled, the ticket will show in th Unscheduled column within the Shipping Dock screen.
- Pick Up Details card: select your Pick Up Location from the dropdown menu, this is a required field. If desired, you can add a Pick Up Contact Name & Phone & Pick Up Method.
- Delivery Details card: select your Delivery Location from the dropdown menu, this is a required field. If desired, you can also add a Delivery Contact Name & Phone and Delivery method.
- Equipment card: If the Equipment Required setting was added during the creation of the template, chose the equipment to add by selecting [Add Equipment]
- Within the Add Equipment screen: choose the equipment from the dropdown menu, this is required. If desired, you can add a Description, Rate information & override existing settings if needed for this shipment ticket. Click [Save] when done.
You will then see the details of this equipment and the Pick Up/Delivery Status. As well as what requirements will be set. Additionally, if more equipment needs to be added, click Add Equipment to add more to this ticket. TIP: If changes are needed, simply select the Edit button and make the necessary changes.
- Misc. Charges & Labels cards: Though not required, you can add any Misc. Charges or Labels in the respective cards to this ticket.
- Driver(s) card: As mentioned previously, you can add a Driver from here OR you can leave blank and add later. To add a Driver here, select from the dropdown menu & then select [SAVE] to create the ticket.
