Synchronizing Base Data

We sync base data (Customers, Locations, Makes, Models, Equipment, Parts) nightly.  With each of these data elements, we get the list of items from the business system, the list of items from Tinnacity, we delete things in Tinnacity that aren't in the business system, we create things that are in the business system that aren't in Tinnacity, and then we update things that don't match. 

We sync about once a minute looking for work order changes, this job also has the ability to create data.  So if our customer creates a work order for a customer that doesn't exist in our system we will create it on the fly.
