Work in Progress Screen (WIP screen)

By default the WIP is broken out into PM’s and Service work orders by location. There several actionable buttons available to the technician, they are:

  • The plus (+) sign allows the technician to create/request (depending on their level of permissions) a work order outside of their WIP.
  • The refresh icon will refresh the screen.
  • The View option(s) that allow the technician to customize how and what to view in their WIP.
    • TIP: If a technician ever states they cannot see a specific work order always check to confirm their filter selection isn't causing the work order to not display in the WIP.
  • The blue # card indicates how many work orders are within the respective location (based upon the view options).  The number includes work orders that are in a status of new, in progress, technician review, customer review, and those that have been closed within the last 24 hours.
  • The green + card allows the technician to create/request (depending on their level of permissions) a work order for the respective location.

View Options are configurable by pressing any of the respective button(s) at the top of the screen. You can customize the WIP with the following options:

Type = All, Service, or Maintenance (May have other types depending on your setup of work order types)

Filter = All, Not Started, Not Completed, Completed, Paused, Scheduled Today, Overdue, Dispatched >7 days

Sort = Most Recent. Location, Priority, Schedule Date

Group By = Do Not Group, Equipment, Location, Schedule Date

To view the work orders within a location, simply press the location name. The work orders are now on display.

On the right side of the list, there are several visual indicators to quickly know the status of the work order:

  • Working is the green Clock - represents the active work order the technician is clocking labor to
  • Traveling is the green Car - represents travel is currently being clocked
  • Technician Review is the yellow eye

  • Back Order Parts is a red box with a Gear inside which means the work order has back ordered parts
