Equipment Checklist

Maintenance checklists ensures equipment reliability by following a systematic process, checklists help ensure that all components of machinery or systems are regularly inspected and maintained, reducing the risk of unexpected breakdowns. NOTE: Tinnacity requires the equipment's model to have an assigned checklist in order to create maintenance work orders in HQ.


  1. To complete the checklist, tap on the [Checklist] button on the equipment card.

  2. When opened, the checklist groups will be displayed with the name of the checklist at the top of the page and (## of ##) of questions. To answer the questions, tap on the relevant group name (i.e. Visual Inspection).


  3. With the question expanded, the technician as the ability to add a picture, to answer the question and to add a comment. NOTE: The [Quote] button appears if the question is not answered OK. The technician can submit an individual quote request to the back-office by pressing the [Quote] button next to the relevant question. Or, they can press the [Actions] button to request a [QUOTE FOR ALL] questions answered unfavorably. RECOMMENDED: It is advised that the technician reviews the checklist findings with the customer during the review process. This approach enables the customer to decline any identified items, allows the technician to submit selected items for quoting based on the customer's requests, and captures the customer’s signature—all within a single, streamlined review.   4. To answer multiple questions with the same response, (if enabled in Company Settings), press the [Select Multiple] button.

  5. There are two options to choose, [Select All] will select every question within the group, even the questions that have already been answered. [Select Unanswered] will select only questions that have not been answered. Choose an option, then press [Answer] to answer the questions. NOTE: If 'Require comment for checklist questions when answer is not OK' and/or 'Require picture for checklists questions when answer is not OK" are enabled, the technician will be required to add a comment and/or picture before they can successfully complete the checklist.

TIP: If a Technician has to leave the checklist page and come back later, press the green [SAVE] button on the bottom of the checklist screen prior to leaving the checklist to ensure questions/quotes answered are saved. 


IMPORTANT: Checklist images are accessible only to technicians and back-office staff. To share these images with a customer, you need to download them from HQ via the work order details screen and then email them separately.
