Multiple Technicians on Work Order
The Service app allows for multiple technicians to be assigned to one work order. Each technician will be able to see what the other technicians are adding such as labor, travel, parts, work performed, etc.
When multiple technicians are assigned, there is one technician that will be marked as the Primary Technician. This is the technician who will move the work order to customer review and get the work order signed. When the Secondary Technician(s) moves the work order to Technician Review, their part on the work order is complete. The work order will show as complete on their tablet.
NOTE: The Primary Technician is the only one required to complete the Checklist and to enter the equipment’s Hour Meter. However, the Secondary Technician(s) can input the Hour Meter and complete the Checklist as well. The Secondary Technician(s) must use the ‘refresh’ icon to update the status for these actions completed by the Primary Technician and vice versa. If the Secondary Technician enters the Hour Meter and completes the Checklist, this fulfills the required actions for the Primary Technician once the Primary Technician refreshes the Work Order Details screen.
All Secondary Technicians must complete the work order on their tablet before the Primary Technician can move past technician review. Once the Secondary Technician(s) have completed their work, the Primary Technician will refresh the work order to update the work order, and then they will be able to move forward to the Customer Review stage and get the work order signed & completed.
Once the Primary Technician is in Technician Review and if the Secondary Technician(s) has not completed their portion, the Primary Technician will see a note at the bottom of the screen and they will not be able to proceed to Customer Review until they refresh and make sure all Secondary Technicians have completed their work.
