Purpose

Customer and Location Notes are intended to inform the technician of specific information that they need to know about either the customer or the location they are working at.
These notes can be the not to exceed dollar amount or anything the technician should be made aware of regarding the customer and/or location. When notes are added in HQ, they are shown to the technician automatically when work or travel begins on a work order in the Service app. If the customer has multiple locations, but the information they need to know is the same for all locations then you can simply enter the customer notes. If the customer has multiple locations, but the information is different for each location then enter the notes per location.

NOTE: In the Service app version 2.68.0, Tinnacity chose to change the color of the [Notes] button to blue instead of red, as blue better represents 'information' rather than red, which typically indicates an error or warning. The [Notes] button on the Location card has also been updated to blue.

If you have an ERP, remember that is always the master - you will add the notes in your ERP and not in HQ.

Now that the customer and/or location notes have been added, when a technician begins work or travel on the respective work order the notes automatically display to the technician.

TIP: To view the notes at any time, click the red [Notes] button in the Location card.

NOTE:  Customer and Location notes are only viewable by the technician, they are not printed on the completed work order PDF
