Service App Permissions

If any of the permission are set to 'No', how do I enable them?

Can I view these permissions in Tinnacity's HQ?

Permissions

To access the ‘App Permissions’ settings in Tinnacity’s Service app, start from the ‘Home’ screen, tap the hamburger icon in the top-left corner, and select ‘Having Issues’. The Permissions card will display whether Camera, Photo Album, Geo Location, or Push Notifications are enabled (Yes). If any of these settings shows ‘No’, it means the permissions have been disabled.

For proper functionality, the following permissions must be enabled:

Camera: Allows the technician to take pictures and add them to a work order.

Photo Album: Grants access to the photo album, enabling the technician to attach existing photos to a work order.

Geo Location: Permits the app to capture GPS coordinates when the technician clocks in/out and records labor or travel on a work order.

Push Notifications: Must be enabled for the technician to receive notifications within the app, such as comments added to part requests, new work order assignments, etc.

Tablet Settings

If any of these permissions are set to ‘No’, to enable go into ‘Settings’ of the device and scroll to the bottom and select Tinnacity Service. Allow or turn On the permissions from here.

User Devices (HQ)

Geo Location, Push Notifications, Camera & Photos permission settings are visible to the Back Office to monitor in via HQ>Admin>User Devices. As well as app version and how many devices a technician may be using. Click here to learn more.
