Drivers

Before you can assign Shipping tickets to a driver, an account must be created in HQ>Admin>Users, with a role of either a Driver or a Third-Party Driver. NOTE: If you have a third-party driver (or company) that will not want to use the Tinnacity Ship app that is used for shipping, a third-party driver account can be created, using a unique email address. Creating this role allows your back-office to manually 'complete the shipment' in HQ.

    • Tinnacity supports both using an internal driver and/or a 3rd party driver for the Shipping App.
      • Internal drivers are created and managed in the same way as other HQ profiles. Create their profile in HQ>Admin>Users & give them the role of Driver. Click here to learn more. Your internal driver can manage & complete their shipments within the Shipping App.
        • Once the Driver role is created, the driver will receive a 'Welcome/activation' email to finish setting up their Tinnacity Ship account.

      • 3rd Party drivers are created and managed in the same way as other HQ profiles. However, they are specifically designated with a 3rd Party Driver role and how the shipment is managed varies slightly from that of an internal driver role. Instead of the 3rd party driver completing the shipment in the Shipping App, an HQ user completes it within HQ. Click here to learn more.
