Technician Review
Once the technician has entered all of the information needed on a work order, the orange checkmark will become visible in the Status card. Tapping on this checkmark will move the technician to Technician Review.
Technician Review lists all of the information in an easy to read format, but again, we highly recommend reviewing on the work order screen.
If there are no parts/pictures added to the work order, the technician will be prompted to confirm they would like to continue without adding parts or pictures. Simply tapping Yes will allow the technician to move forward. If the technician clicks no, they can not continue to Customer Review without adding parts or pictures.
NOTE: If configured, technicians will not be able to complete a work order that still has back ordered parts on the work order. The back office will have to update the part to show as a positive quantity or remove it. This is set within HQ>Company Settings. Click here to learn more about this setting.
If allowed, the technician can edit labor and travel from either the Technician or Customer Review screens. Within the Technician or Customer review screen, click the 3 dots menu in the upper right corner of the screen and select Activity. From here the technician can edit Labor/Travel entries as well as Work Performed comments.
To proceed to Customer Review, tap on the green checkmark at the bottom of the Technician Review screen. To move back to the work order screen, tap on the red “X” at the bottom of the screen. The side menu is accessible from this screen as well.
Upon completion of Technician Review, the technician has several options on how they want to proceed. NOTE: Cancel will take the Technician back to the Technician Review screen.
1) Sign Now: This option directs technicians straight to the customer review screen, facilitating on-the-spot customer signature.
2) Sign Later: Opting for this choice transitions the work order into customer review status. This flexibility enables subsequent signature capture at a convenient time, streamlining the process for batch signing multiple work orders if necessary. Click here to learn more about Batch Signing. NOTE: If your dealership is enrolled in Tinnacity's Customer Portal and has 'Sign Work Orders' enabled in your Company Settings, the technician will receive a prompt to 'Request Customer Signature.' This action will trigger an email notification to anyone at the relevant location who is subscribed to the 'A work order is ready for review' alert, informing them that a work order is ready for review and signature.
3) No Signature: This choice allows the Technician to finalize the work order without necessitating a signature. NOTE: If in Admin/Customers/Customer Details has 'Signature Required' enabled, this will require the customer to sign off on the work order before it can be completed. The [No Signature] button will not be available.
