Ship App Overview & HQ Setup
The Tinnacity Ship app is an easy-to-use/straight forward app that in coordination with HQ, eliminates paperwork and streamlines asset shipments. Within HQ, a user can: create, schedule & manage shipments that seamlessly interact with the Tinnacity Ship app. Additionally, Shipping Templates & checklists can be created & managed within HQ that can assist your drivers in the field.
Shipping App setup:
Before you begin using the Shipping app there are a few things you'll need to do in Tinnacity’s HQ, such as:
- Create Driver Accounts (internal and/or third-party [if applicable])
- Tinnacity supports both using an internal driver and/or a 3rd party driver for the Shipping App.
- Internal drivers are created and managed in the same way as other HQ profiles. Create their profile in HQ>Admin>Users & give them the role of Driver. Click here to learn more. Your internal driver can manage & complete their shipments within the Shipping App.
- 3rd Party drivers are created and managed in the same way as other HQ profiles. However, they are specifically designated with a 3rd Party Driver role and how the shipment is managed varies slightly from that of an internal driver role. Instead of the 3rd party driver completing the shipment in the Shipping App, an HQ user completes it within HQ. Click here to learn more.

- Determine if any Checklists are needed
- When creating Shipping Templates, checklists can be assigned that the driver must complete as one of the ‘required actions’. (i.e., you may want the driver to complete a ‘ transport checklist’).
- Before adding a checklist to a Shipping Template, Checklists may need to be created. These checklists are created in the same way any other checklists are created within HQ. Click here to learn more on how to create & manage checklists in HQ.
- Create Shipping Templates
- Within HQ>Admin>Shipping Templates: create a template for shipping for drivers to use again and again in the future. When you create a Shipping Template you will need to enter your shipping details, add a checklist (if applicable) & pick what else you would like on your template. Click here to learn more.
